IPL's broad- spectrum light moves through your skin until it makes contact with the hair shaft or the root/bulb of the hair. This root/bulb and almost all of the shaft are then vaporized as the light gets converted into heat energy destroying the dermal papilla by recognizing the majority of the melanin, or pigment of the hair.

Using short blasts of Polychromatic High-intensity light to penetrate below the skins surface damaging the melanin that produces brown "age spots" or the blood vessels that create broken capillaries. IPL energy at various wavelengths is also used to selectively destroy pigment cells, blood-filled capillary veins, rosacea or hair, depending on the intended nature of your treatment.
The skin repairs the damage, leaving you with even skin tone. IPL also boosts collagen and the skins elasticity.
